Firefox 4+ supports 360-degree video through HTML5 and CSS3 technology. Mozilla Firefox and GlobalVision Communication partnered to provide HTML5 and CSS3 powered 360-degree video to display on computers and mobile devices. They offer 360-degree video demos of Cannes Beach, Dubaï Street, and the Temples of Angkor. You can see the demos on the Mozilla Developer Network, however your browser must support both WebGL, HTML5, and have specific graphics drivers to see the 360-degree videos.

To learn more about WebG, requirements, and implementation visit the WebGL Wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebGL.

Newspapers are quickly fading away, as more readers use electronic technology to get the scoop. Condition ONE offers a solution for news publishers to gain readership. The Condition ONE immersive video application for Apple® tablet devices launched November 11, 2011 and has been getting some awesome reviews.

Condition ONE offers a full spectrum enterprise solution for media companies needing to innovate and engage their audiences on the iPad,” said Condition ONE Founder and CEO Danfung Dennis. “Condition ONE has created a new type of video technology to lead media companies into the tablet market. We merge technology and creativity to push the limits of visual content to create immersive experiences on tablet devices.

Danfung Dennis director of the 2011 Sundance-winning documentary HELL AND BACK AGAIN conceived the Condition ONE technology while covering the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as a photojournalist. The traditional two-dimensional image, he felt, was losing its impact in conveying the emotion and complex realities on the ground.

Condition ONE is creating a new medium through technology and powerful content is at the core of the Condition ONE application,” said co-founder Karol Martesko-Fenster. “Condition ONE is focused on rapidly expanding the company’s next generation product offerings: a proprietary tablet app, an immersive camera system, a streamlined workflow, advanced post-production technologies, and an immersive video player with a highly engaging interface.
